What is the Travel with Purpose Pact?

 

The Travel with Purpose Pact helps companies include Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in their group travel programs (meetings, events, incentives) that are:

• Realistic

• Impactful

• Cost Effective

• Authentic

 

Making it easier to include CSR initiatives as part of group travel programs is Step 1. Step 2 is making sure those CSR initiatives benefit local communities and people in need in a way that's long-term and sustainable. What does that look like? The Travel with Purpose Pact is committed to regenerative travel, which means working collaboratively across sectors to shift the focus and tourism dollars to local social enterprises and indigenous communities.

In its launch year (2024), companies won’t have to pay anything to join the Pact and receive the standard inclusions. The standard inclusions are blueprints for three different CSR models with varying levels of engagement, commitment, and involvement from the host company and attendees.
